8.34.4 enableHR Tactical Release (08 January 2020)

Sub-branches not showing in alphabetical order

Background (ENAB-3343)

In release 8.34.2, we launched our Upgraded Cookie Crumb Branch Navigator. For larger clients with expansive branch structures, it was reported that the sub-branches within the cookie crumb navigator weren't sorted alphabetically making for a less than ideal navigation experience.

Update

This has now been fixed and sub-branches are now sorted alphabetically.

The ability for an eSS user to upload documents via an individually given task

Background (FEAT-10)

Historically, the only way to request an eSS user to provide documentation was to start a checklist on the worker record and trigger an eSS task (Upload) from within the checklist.

This was somewhat limiting as this meant that if we didn't have a standard eSS applicable checklist which provided the upload task to request the specific document, clients would need to customise a copy of a checklist to cover this requirement. If the customer did not wish to customise, then there would be no way for for the system to service the requirement.

Update

When assigning a task, you may now request that the eSS user provide documentation within their response to the task. A separate article has been written detailing the function and how to use it.

Remove the force download of documents and add a ‘Download’ button

Background (FEAT-620)

Historically, if a document was uploaded to the system, users would not have a choice as to whether the document would pop up for view in a new tab of the browser or if the file would be downloaded onto the computer.

This was largely determined by what format the file was in. If it was a PDF document, it would pop up in a new tab when you hit the Download Document button however, if it was a word doc it would be downloaded onto the customer's computer (possibly in the Downloads folder).

Update

For "complete" documentation (documents that are marked with a status of Created, Complete, Executed or Obsolete), users are now given a choice of whether to Download the Document or View the Document. These options will be visible on both Tab view and Record view:

Please Note: the View button will only display uploaded items that your browser can display (images, word docs, PDFs). If the uploaded item is something that can't be displayed on a browser (.exe files, power points files or spreadsheets), the system will download the file regardless of which button you press.
