Reports Roles and Permissions

Changes To All Current Reports To Restrict Access

enableHR users will now only have permission to report on records that they have access to.  Most reports restrict the generated data in the report based upon the user’s assigned roles and access to records. 

An example is the “Record Export CSV” report.  Previously if users had access to this report, the data generated could include records for all branches (even if that specific user, for example, is restricted from accessing certain branches and therefore shouldn't see the data contained therein). 

Please find a list of the overall objectives below for this new upgrade to the reporting module permissions:

  • A user should only be able to report on records they have permission to see. This incorporates Blacklisting, restricted access to own record, Org Chart restrictions as well as Branch and Record type access;

  • A user should only be able to report on fields in a record they have permission to see;
  • A user should only be able to report on sections within a record they have permission to see (e.g. Notes).
