Creating and Managing your Organisation Chart

Follow

There are two ways to set up and manage your Organisational Chart.

Method 1: Manual - You can manually select the employee's reporting manager.

To manually set up your organisational chart, use the following steps:

  1. Open the employee file

  4. You then get the following options:
    (i) Search for the employee's manager and select them
(ii) Click 'Select Nobody'(report to no one) - if the employee does not report to anyone
(iii) Move to the top of the org chart - this establishes the root of the organisation

Repeat this process for all employees.

Method 2: Via an import file - Using an excel spreadsheet with specified columns, you can set up who the employee reports to.

This is for our enterprise customers who have this functionality module.  It requires some initial configuration by enableHR.  Please contact us to find out more information relating to this.

Note: This relates to the Organisation Chart Report article.

Note: For this functionality to work your account needs to have the organisational chart functionality enabled. This is an additional module and is included in the new all-inclusive enableHR. If you are unsure whether your account is on enableHR's all inclusive price model, please contact our Client Experience Team for further details.
