enableHR Software Release 2026.01.30

Enhancements

Work Email updates made by eSS users to check for duplicate emails

This release introduces improved validation when an eSS user updates their work email address. The system will now automatically remove any leading or trailing spaces and validate that the email entered is in a correct email format before allowing the change to be saved.

In addition, the system will check whether the updated work email is already being used by another active user profile in an active account. If a duplicate email is found, the update will be blocked and the user will see an error message asking them to enter a unique email address. This helps prevent duplicate emails from being stored in eSS and avoids issues during user profile synchronization to Azure B2C.

Password reset is allowed only through login page

Password fields have been removed from the Edit My Profile page for all enableHR users, including Account Admins, Partner Users, Hub Users, Super Users, and standard users (regardless of B2C migration status). When users open the Edit option in My Profile, the fields Current Password, New Password, and Confirm New Password will no longer be visible or accessible through the UI or browser tools.

Instead, users will see a guidance message explaining how to reset their password: “To change your password, please go to the login page, enter your username, click Next, and then select 'Forgot Password?' to reset your password.” All other profile fields remain available and fully editable as normal, and the new user creation process is unchanged.

Checklists to block other action when Active dialog box is open

We’ve improved how checklist dialog actions behave while they are being processed, helping prevent errors and duplicate actions.

  • Checklist locked while a dialog is open
When an admin opens and runs an action from a checklist step dialog, the checklist is temporarily locked until that dialog completes.

  • Prevents multiple simultaneous actions
Admins can’t start or click other checklist steps while a dialog action is still in progress.

  • Prevents duplicate user creation
This avoids repeated user creation attempts that previously caused errors in authentication and HR systems.

  • Clear system feedback
If an admin tries to start another checklist step while a dialog is already running, the system will clearly indicate that an action is in progress.

  • Automatic unlock after completion
The checklist becomes available again as soon as the dialog finishes, whether it succeeds or fails.

  • Improved error handling
If the dialog action fails, the admin will see a clear error message and no partial or incomplete records will be created.

Improved document upload and branch selection

We’ve enhanced the document upload experience to give admins more control over which branch a document belongs to, ensuring documents appear in the correct location every time.

  • Branch selection during upload
Admins can now select the appropriate Allowed Branch when uploading a document via the File Upload page.

  • Clear branch visibility
The selected branch is clearly displayed in:

    • Allowed Branches

    • The Branch field on the Document Information page

  • Accurate document placement
Documents uploaded to a specific branch will appear only in that branch, improving visibility and access control.

  • Flexible branch support
    This update supports:

    • All branches

    • A single branch

    • Multiple branches
Behaviour is consistent across all selection types.
