eSS Registration Overview - How to Setup & Register eSS Users

Before getting started with registering your team for employee Self Service, it is a good idea to read our Overview of eSS and go through our Checklist to Getting Started with eSS

NOTE: Employees will need to have either an email address or Employee ID stored against their Employee Record to be able to register for eSS.

There are two main ways that you can set up an eSS User, both will require your workers to register themselves and create a password. The way you do it will depend on your particular scenario and where you are on your journey with enableHR.

NOTE: Registration for eSS is slightly different for a management user, as they only need one set of login credentials to access both the management and employee side of enableHR. If they already have credentials to login to the main application, they will either need to register for eSS using one of the options outlined in this article, or have their settings updated to provide access without registering.

Use the information below to identify your scenario and which method you should you use to register your employees for eSS.

2. eSS Registration for workers via your unique URL link

If you will not be using an eSS enabled checklist as part of your launch plan, you should send out your unique URL link to your workers via your usual communication method to enable them to register for Self Service. Follow the steps in this article to register your workers for eSS through your unique URL

3. Existing Management User

An existing User of enableHR can be setup to login to Self Service using the same credentials. You can either use one of the two methods above so they can register themselves and understand the process for the rest of your employees, or you can make some adjustments to the current settings on their User.
