eSS user can update DOB and Gender in self service by defaultBackground Previously, whenever the new employee is onboarded, the hiring manager needs to manually add the employee’s DOB and Gender. This adds another manual step in the onboarding process that the manager has to assume and complete when the employee should be updating this themselves. Updates To support seamless onboarding, DOB and Gender fields are now able to updated within eSS without requiring to reach out to our support team. There is a new sub-tab created within the Account Settings section, this displays a checkbox called: Allow Self Service users to update their gender and DOB. The new sub-tab is located under the “Account Details“ tab on the account settings UI called “Setup Options“ (Account Settings > Setup Options). Note: this will be active by default, Account Admin users can change this in their setup options as displayed above. |
External Application Links Configuration Option for Client AccountsBackground There were requests from our existing and potential new clients who like their employees access external applications on our application so that their employees can navigate to that portal from within their enableHR self service account. Updates A new setup is made available for individual accounts under the navigation: Account Details → Branding tab for setting up the external application links such that any account who wish to have their own setup for external application links can use this setup. Note: enableHR Client Support team member can do this setup on behalf of clients. Account admins can not see or access this setup. Enabled - Allows the client account to have its own setup for external application links. URL’s for external application links can be setup with just display name or with an icon or both. There are currently some generic icons available for Payroll, Leave, Time & Attendance. Can choose whether the setup is applicable to either only to eSS users (or) manager users (or) both. When either Icon is selected or Text is entered, external application URL is mandatory field for the setup. Disabled: This option will disable any setup that is made for an account, info for the setup is still saved in the DB just so that it can be enabled later if necessary. When external link is active - Manager viewAccount Admins will notice new menu items on the left hand side right below the regular menu items. The icon and text that appear next to icon is based on the account setting made for ‘External Application links’. When the user clicks on the new menu button, the link will open in a new tab for the external application link provided. When external link is active - eSSeSS users will notice new menu items as per the account settings made for ‘External Application Links’. The icon and text that appear next to it is based on the setup for ‘External Application links’. Clicking on the menu item will navigate the user to new URL that gets opened in a new browser tab where they will have to enter the credentials if required for the external application. |
